RATES AND RESERVATIONS

Our rates include all the necessary technical climbing equipment and daily passes required.

Reservation Agreement

We require advanced reservations reservations to schedule your intended trip; our guides’ livelihood depends on this. Once a reservation is made a 50% non-refundable deposit is required. We are now able to accept credit cards through PayPal, or you can mail us a check. Please send the deposit to: Alpine Endeavors, P.O. BOX 58, Rosendale, NY 12472, or if you are using paypal, the address is: payment@alpineendeavors.com. If late scheduling does not allow for a deposit to be sent, we will accept your word that you will attend the day selected. We then assume you will be responsible for compensation to your guide for any last minute cancellations.

Private Guiding and Instruction
All parties will have their own private guide for each day.
We will not pair you up with unknown guests, unless you request it, and it is acceptable by them.

* Any climber with a current Mohonk Preserve annual climbing membership will receive a $15 discount for each day of climbing on the Mohonk Preserve.

Group Rates
For larger groups interested in climbing, we provide all the technical equipment, daily park passes, and maintain low climber/guide ratios.

Specialty Rates
In addition to our daily rates, the following may be added:
$25 (or more) for routes that require long approach/descents or are Grade IV or longer
$65 for any route that requires a bivouac or overnight stay


Frequent Climber Card


Purchase a Frequent Climber Card and save.

You can get 6 private guided days for the price of 5, plus an annual climbing membership to the Mohonk Preserve for $1250.
You can get 13 private guided days for the price of 10, plus an annual climbing membership to the Mohonk Preserve, all for one price of $2500.00.

The card and membership are valid for one year from purchase, and can used in winter for ice climbing in the Catskills as well. If you climb with a friend/spouse, you can also get either card for a party of two. For more information please give us a call or e-mail.

Cancellations

If the day is cancelled due to inclement weather*, the day can be rescheduled, or the deposit will be refunded. Confirmed cancellations received at least 14 days prior to the date reserved will have the reservation fee returned or credited to another day. Cancellations less than 14 days of the reserved date (& no-shows) forfeit their reservation fee. Please contact us the evening before your scheduled day if you have concerns about the weather.

* If we experience bad weather locally in the Shawangunk or Catskills, the day will be prorated. Bad weather is always a possibility in the mountains, so there is no rescheduling or refunds for remote or multi-day trips when we are out there in the field.

** Although we can plan to climb a specific route or peak, no guarantees are made (in the mountains, anything can happen). Our purpose is to use our judgment and experience to share with you a rewarding experience, both up and down. If an unsafe situation arises, the guide makes the final decision and may turn around. There will be no refunds or rescheduling. However, if time allows, while we are on the trip another attempt may be arranged.
