North Cascades National Park, WA

Alpine Endeavors offers guided trips and instruction for both mountaineering and alpine climbing in the "Alps of America": the
North Cascades National Park.

The North Cascades are vast and provide an incredible amount of options, from day-climbs up road-accessible peaks, to routes that are remote and complex - involving a variety of outdoor skills that define alpine climbing and mountaineering. They have so much to offer that many of the climbs we visit are on the Fifty Classic Climbs list.

For alpine climbing some of the objectives are well known; others are not: Sahale Peak, Forbidden Peak, Mt. Buckner, Eldorado Peak, Dorado Needle, Mt. Triumph, Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Fury, are just a sample of what's there, and all have technical alpine routes to their summits. The area is so vast and the peaks are so abundant, we can go back year after year, climb a different one each time, and still have a list to go back for.

For mountaineering objectives, there are also many choices - Cascade peak, Mt. Challenger, Mt. Shuksan, Eldorado Peak, Glacier Peak and many others that provide the challenges of climbing peaks involving glacier travel without technical rock or ice climbing.

We offer our trips with a low climber-to-guide ratios. For technical alpine climbs, we limit the party size to no more than two climbers per guide (2:1), or privately (1:1). For mountaineering, we operate from private trips up to four climbers per guide (4:1). These low ratios allow us to move quickly through the terrain, give you the option of climbing objectives that are more involved, and learning as many skills as you can.

Route choices are dependent on the experience levels of the participants. There are options for all ability levels. Please talk with us about certain things you are looking to achieve and we will be happy to offer suggestions.
