Leave No Trace Partner

Alpine Endeavors, is a proud partner of the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. We share in, practice and support Leave No Trace skills and ethics and believe in the stewardship of America’s public lands.

Join us in our work to Leave No Trace by following these seven, simple principles:

• Plan ahead and prepare
• Travel and camp on durable surfaces
• Dispose of waste properly
• Leave what you find
• Minimize campfire impacts
• Respect wildlife
• Be considerate of other visitors

Alpine Endeavors supports and lends its resources to the Leave No Trace program. We recognize that education will preserve our country’s wild places for generations. That is why we promote and teach responsible outdoor skills and ethics - by teaching people how to enjoy nature while preserving its natural beauty.

When you enjoy the great outdoors, remember to Leave No Trace of your activity behind. For more information, visit them at www.LNT.org.

April 23-27, 2007
$699 per person
Location - Shawangunk and Catskill Mountains, NY
Information in PDF format

The Master Course provides participants with a comprehensive overview of Leave No Trace skills and ethics through practical application in a field-based setting. The first day is spent in a classroom, introducing the course and schedule, providing in-depth information on the overall Leave No Trace program and the Center for Outdoor Ethics, reviewing gear, and packing. The remaining days are spent in the field on a short backcountry trip learning and practicing the principles of Leave No Trace.
Each course is staffed with highly experienced outdoor professionals who are Master Educator Instructors. You will learn Leave No Trace techniques through skits, discussions, and hands-on activities. To practice Leave No Trace teaching strategies in a supportive, educational environment, each participant will teach a short session geared toward minimum impact Leave No Trace concerns.
Successful graduates of the Master Educator course have the ability to train others in Leave No Trace skills and ethics, and can offer Leave No Trace Trainer courses (2-day) and Awareness Workshops (1-day or shorter).
