Mohonk Preserve Rescue Fund Benefit Auction

Help out the Mohonk Preserve while climbing with a guide for the day.
It is time for our yearly auction to help the lands we love. This auction was triggered by vandals stealing the rescue equipment from the rescue cache at the Trapps on the Mohonk Preserve in October 2008. To help generate the funds needed to replace the equipment, Alpine Endeavors offered guided days to be auctioned off on Ebay, all of the proceeds where then donated to the Mohonk Preserve rescue fund. We raised over $900 that year and have continued the tradition since.
Bidding will start on December 19, 2011 at 12pm EST and will last for seven. There will be 5 spots available, the days will be for a day of rock climbing for a party of two with their own private guide. The day will be valid for the 2012 climbing season (April through November). Dates for climbing can be arranged at any time - as long as the winning bidders register in advance.
There will be no reserve on the auction. We will list the opening bid to start at $200 - the regular rate for a day of climbing for a party of two is $390.
Winning bidders will have a PDF gift certificate emailed to them. Use it for yourself, or give it as a great holiday gift!
The following will be provided:
Day passes as required for entry onto the Preserve; loan of any technical equipment needed to climb (helmet, harness, rock shoes, rope, etc), and a guide for the day (based upon a ratio of two climbers per guide).
Each winning bidder will need to provide the following:
Lunch, two quarts of water, day pack, sunscreen, camera (optional) - for a complete list, please visit our Rock Gear List page at: http://www.alpineendeavors.com/downloads/rock.html
All proceeds will be donated by Alpine Endeavors to help the Mohonk Preserve*.
