ICE TRIPS
Our up-coming trips for this winter season are:
Smugglers' Notch, VT
December 14-16, 2007 - Early Season Ice!
Get a jump on the ice season by getting out in December! Located between
Jeffersonville and Stowe, VT. Smugglers Notch is a true alpine playground
offering long, classic ice routes of all grades. Bring your skis along
for some great skiing as well! This trip is open to climbers of all abilities.
We are limited the ratio of climber:guide to 2:1 so you can get the most
out of it.
Big Ice Weekend, Adirondacks, NY
January 25-28, 2008
Our Adirondack weekend features four days of ice and mountaineering
climbing and instruction. The Adirondacks have it all and you can come
for some or all of this weekend for great ice climbing..
Your options for climbing are fully open to your choices, Chapel Pond
Canyon, Roaring Brook Falls, Cascade Pass, Multiplication Gully, Poke-O-Moonshine,
North Face of Pitchoff, etc.
We are limiting this trip to no more than 6 guests, maximum. This will allow us a ratio of 2 climbers per guide. If we have advanced reservations, we can arrange for lodging. We do provide any technical equipment needed. Transportation is not provided.
Neurosis, NEI 4, Poke-O-Moonshine
Ice Climbing and Mountaineering, Mount Washington and the
Presidential Range, NH
This trip will be focused on mountaineering skills, involving winter ascents
of Mount Washington and other peaks in the Presidential range. Also, more
alpine style ice routes such as Shoestring Gully, Cinema Gully, and/or
Hitchock Gully will be part of the agenda. We can camp out on the mountain
and/or stay in the valley. The decision will be determined by your interests
and ambitions.
Chockstone Exit /Shoestring Gully, Mt Willard, NH
North face of Gothics, Adirondacks, NY
The objective this trip is to climb the North Face of Gothics
in winter - after a 5 mile approach, you will climb 1000 feet of ice,
snow, verglass, and rock to top out on New York's 10th highest peak! Every
year around the end of February, for a limited time, the route comes into
shape. We will be offering weekday trips as well up here during this timeframe.

Gothics North Face in Winter
Ice Climbing and Mountaineering, Mount Washington and the
Presidential Range, NH
Anything goes, we can attempt routes on Mount Washington or more technical
ice routes in the valley. We can see what the conditions are for both
and have you pick how you would like to finish out your ice season.
